We of course do not train people in product knowledge, that's company training, on the job training and personal experience in learning your art, craft, stock etc. The other three areas we highlight can help you massively boost your sales. The best at something doesn't sell the most, someone who's great and effectively communicates that they're great are the ones who thrive!
I use the word 'expertise' delibrately. People want to buy from an 'expert'. In training customer service personnel we always say 'only exceptional is acceptable' and you should use the same ethos in learning your game. If your competition know more, are more in touch with market trends, with changing technology & legislation, etc - they are in a better position to sell than you!
